OK so this is now old news, but is still very good news and a very appropriate lead post in our Big Jackpot Wins category.
On February 12 2012, a lucky slot player at BetFred hit the Beach Life jackpot. The amount…a cool £5.1 million!
Enough to put them right up near the top of the list of online jackpot winning millionaires and enough to set a current record for the biggest ever online jackpot win by anyone from the United Kingdom. Life will now be a beach for the unnamed winner. Or a ski slope. Or a country retreat…
Here’s how it happened.
After winning a minor payout (£250ish) on the King Kong slot, the player decided they wanted a piece of the Beach Life jackpot – the live game console ticker showed it was now well over the £5 million mark.
First five spins…nothing.
Spin number six…BOOM! Sweaty palms. Disbelief. Probably a bit of hysteria. Then a call from casino support confirming the win, followed by a flight (by private jet) to BetFred HQ to receive a very big cheque from Mr BetFred himself, company founder Fred Done.
