The game that you couldn’t lose: Sixty Seconds from Eurobet

How do like the sound of a gambling game that only charges you for one in every six bets you place…but still pays out every winning bet whether you paid for it or not?

Sound too good to be true? Well it actually happened.

Italian pet shop worker Bruno Venturi noticed something pleasantly amiss while playing the Sixty Seconds lottery game at Eurobet back in 2009. It just kept on letting him place free wagers! He saw an opportunity and like any good gambler would…he exploited it to the hilt! How did Danny Ocean put it in Ocean’s Eleven…

“ ’Cause the house always wins. Play long enough, you never change the stakes. The house takes you. Unless, when that perfect hand comes along, you bet and you bet big, then you take the house.”

During 217 minutes of frantic play, Mr Venturi did indeed bet big, and while he didn’t exactly take down the house, he did win £650,000 before alarm bells went off at Euro bet and they shut the game down.

The sad part of story is that Euro Bet Ltd are claiming the winnings are null and void since they were the result of a software glitch. The even sadder part (before you go madly searching Google for the game Sixty Seconds) is that they promptly pulled the game after they realized it was prone to not charging players. It’s no longer available.

As we speak the lawyers are arguing the casinos liability to pay pout the winning in a High Court battle that players and online casino alike should be very interested in.

Come on Eurobet…pay the man!
